Hi everyone. Last night I made a very simple, but effective scrapbook page, using just a packet of die cut shapes that I got my my local cheap shop. Here in Australia, we have a great shop called The Reject Shop & sometimes it has lots of great craft supplies that don't break the bank!! The packet of die cut shapes I used in this layout was just $4 & there are still heaps left in the packet. You get 2 of each shape too which is great.
This is the layout...
I used a piece of scrapbook paper from my never ending stash (seriously, I have enough to last me a few lifetimes over!!) as the background. It was from a Marble pack, which looks like water.
I started by putting down my photo's, then added in the die cuts around them. After I chose all the die cuts I wanted to use, I backed my photo's with some bright pink tissue paper, which made them stand out a bit more from the busy background.
I then glued everything down flat, except for the photo's, I backed them with some craft foam just to pop them up off the page a little bit.
I had some wooden embellishments from Kaisercraft that I added, then did some journalling & that page was done. Very quick & simple, there was nothing hard about it. Sometimes it's just nice to create a quick page that doesn't have any fancy techniques or use lots of products, but I think it's still very effective & looks great.
See below for the video on youtube, it's only about 6 mins after I cut out some of the arranging & glueing!
I hope you enjoyed my page! Thanks for visiting today :-)
