10th Birthday Shaker Card

Hello everyone, I am back today after a very busy few days with my daughters 10th birthday celebrations. I've been going since Wednesday night when I had to make 40 cupcakes for school, then ice & decorate them all on Thursday morning & be ready to leave by 7:30am!! Her birthday was on Friday, so we had a fulfilled day, followed by a sleepover with some of her friends. I am ready to sleep for the next couple days lol

Anyway, todays card is the Birthday card I made for my daughter & of course it HAD to have a Unicorn on it!! Everything about her birthday was Unicorn related, they were everywhere!!

I made a shaker card with the 10 being the shaker part & because her favourite colour is blue, that was my colour scheme.

Everything I used was from My Favorite Things except for the sentiment, which was from a gorgeous Simply Sweet Stamps set called Unicorns, which I stamped in black ink & used an iridescent embossing powder over the top.

I stamped the background with MFT's Denim Background Stamp, I LOVE this stamp! The 10 was cut with MFT's Big Numbers dies & the clouds were cut from a glitter card stock using MFT's Stitched Clouds & Stitched Cloud Edges. I stamped the cute little Unicorn & the Castle using MFT's Magical Unicorns stamp set, coloured them with Copic markers, then cut them out using the matching dies.

I popped the panel up with foam tape so that there was enough room for the sequins to move around inside under the 10. I also used foam tape to pop up the castle on the cloud to give it some extra dimension & the unicorn is on an action wobble, so it shakes all around, it's great in real life!!

I hope you like my card as much as my daughter did!

Thanks for dropping by :-)
